The special fund of foreign trade development (originally known as medium and small enterprise international marketing fund), set up by China in 2001, is a government support fund provided to medium and small enterprises as well as “enterprises with proprietary brand and proprietary intellectual property” to encourage them to participate in international market competition, and reduce business operation risks.
I. Support objects
01◆ Medium and small-sized foreign trade enterprises;

03◆ Foreign trade comprehensive service enterprises。
II. Project application process
01◆ Enterprise qualification registration (registering simultaneously on two websites and accepting at any time)；
02◆ Project proposal application;
03◆ Fund appropriation application;
04◆ Bills approval；
III. Application time
Barring special circumstances, the projects which has been implemented in the first half and second half year shall be reported respectively in July and December, specifically subject to notices of relevant departments.
