Imported meat
The Customs shall apply registration management to imported meat consignees. Consignees who have implemented registration management may handle meat import procedures.
I. Handling procedures
1. Submit attached documents and meanwhile the originals for verification to local customs organs where the industrial and commercial registration place locates:
01◆ Application for Imported meat Consignee Registration;
02◆ Business License of Enterprise Legal Person;
03◆ Copies of the Legal Representative’s ID Card;
04◆ Registration Form of Foreign Trade Manager;
05◆ Imported meat quality safety management system (including meat import and sales record system, product traceability management system, nonconforming product recalling and processing system), organizational institution and routine management system of imported meat department and post responsibilities;
06◆ Food Safety Commitment;
07◆ Setting up post of food safety officer (attaching personnel qualification certificate);
08◆ List of overseas supplier registration and list of domestic sales or processing enterprises;
09◆ Respondents to Inspection and Quarantine Knowledge about Imported Meat
2. Local Customs Organ reviews completeness and authenticity of documents;
3. The Customs rechecks documents, and report the list of conforming enterprises to the General Administration of Customs;
4. The General Administration of Customs releases the list of imported meat consignees; the imported meat consignees filed could trade imported meats on each designated port.
II. Processing time: 20 workdays
