Trademark registration

       Trademark may be comprised of characters, name, symbols, pattern or any combinations used or planned to use by people in business which could show or identify commodities or distinguish from other commodities, and show the source of commodities. Except aforesaid elements, the trademarks which could recognize products or service sources such as label, product appearance, package, color, sound, slogan, phrase, family name, geographical name and number may be registered in Supplemental Register.

Handling time: 11-15 months Validity period: 10 years

※ Application of trademark: the trademark applicant must use or intend to use the trademark; if the registered trademark is not used for three years in a row, others may apply for cancellation.
※ Transfer of trademark: both the trademark application or registered trademark could be transferred; the trademark application with intention to use could not be transferred before statement of use is submitted.
